Master’s degree in pediatric dentistry
This Master’s degree has a complete program that includes everything related to the growth and physical and psychological development of the child in its basic concepts, from the prenatal stage, with an emphasis on oral growth and development.
It addresses prevention in the broadest concept of the word, from the care that the mother must have during the time of pregnancy to avoid affecting the oral structures in formation, to post-natal preventive measures, reaching the time of adolescence.
Prevention will be applied in all aspects of oral health: dental cavities, soft tissue problems (periodontics and oral pathology) and in preventive treatments for malocclusion.
During the development of this one year and eight-month program, topics and clinic will be covered on dental care for children with special needs or disabilities, as well as systemic problems, such as: blood dyscrasias, congenital and acquired heart conditions, among other.
At the end of the Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry, the graduate will be able to provide professional and quality dental care to children and adolescents based on scientific evidence, with a responsible, ethical and humanistic approach.
