Specialty in Maxillary Orthopedics and Orthodontics

Program designed to create high level technical and professional specialists, with the skills required to treat patients with congenital malformations, skeletal malocclusions and cranio-mandibular anomalies.

This program prepares specialists of high technical and professional level in maxillary orthopedics and orthodontics, with the skills required to treat patients with congenital malformations, skeletal malocclusions and cranio-mandibular anomalies, as well as equipping them with the abilities to detect health alterations related to these conditions.

 By partaking in this Specialty, the participant will learn the diagnostic methods to discover deviations in the development of dentition and, in turn, will receive research training and acquire teaching skills.

The Specialty program lasts three (3) years, full time, and the student must complete a research project on a clinical or experimental topic in order to obtain the degree of Specialist in Maxillary Orthopedics and Orthodontics.

Target Audience

Dentists who wish to specialize in the treatment of congenital malformations, skeletal malocclusions and cranio-mandibular anomalies.
